The Omega 3 Source
Arctic Omega and The Natural Combination of Omega 3/6 Fatty Acids

Arctic Omega and Pet Health

Does your pet show signs of stiff joints?
Is your pet not walking and/or running as easily as they once did?
Does your pet shed and/or itch excessively?
Does your pet have little stamina and/or endurance?
Has your pet lost their zest for life?
If you answered yes to any of these questions most likely your pet is deficient in the Omega 3 Fatty Acids. Having the correct balance of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids does not just apply to humans, but to our pets as well.

Most of the pet foods available today contain an excessive amount of Omega 6 Fatty Acids mostly derived from vegetable matter and animal by-products, which is the usual food source for canines. There has to be a balance of Omega 6 and Omega 3 Fatty Acids in our pet’s diet in order to:

Pet owners are aware that certain fatty acids are beneficial to a pet's health. You have seen the benefits of feeding your dog or cat foods high in fish oils, such as sardines, which help them maintain a shiny coat. But were you aware that adding Omega 3 fatty acids to your pet's diet can benefit them in the same way? But Omega 3 fatty acids have the added benefit of adding years to your pet's life, as well as all the benefits humans now obtain from Omega 3.

Despite the nutritional value associated with most commercial pet food formulas there are increasing health problems in the canine population. This being said, we would like to introduce you to a unique natural canine Omega 3 supplement, which is Arctic Omega. Arctic Omega is a 100% Natural Marine Oil Supplement. The formula’s total Long-Chain Omega 3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids is 21-25%, which includes the DHA, DPA, and EPA; with the optimum Omega3/6 balance being approximately 10-11:1.

Formula for Arctic Omega:
1 Teaspoonful or 5cc. of 100% Natural Marine Oil contains:

Polyunsaturated 27.3%

Monounsaturated 60.23%

A growing body of scientific research suggests that Omega 3 fatty acids provide our pets additional health benefits during certain life stages or when suffering from certain diseases. Some of the more common reasons veterinarians suggest dosages of Omega 3 for our pets are:

The advantage of this 100% Natural Marine Oil supplement is that it can be added to our pet’s food for overall health and for the treatment of illnesses, without using drugs, which often have serious side effects. Arctic Omega has a high concentration of Omega 3 Fatty Acids and a relatively low, but important concentration of Omega 6 Fatty Acids. It only takes a small amount of this Natural Omega 3 Supplement to adjust the Omega 3/6 ratio in our pet’s diet. Dogs love the taste and benefit from these ‘essential’ fatty acids at the same time. This product is truly the one and only Omega 3 Daily Essential Supplement for your pet’s diet; Arctic Omega for your pet, because prevention is better than cure.

Recent Research
1.According to Filburn and Griffin, “Dietary supplementation in dogs with a natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, with DHA, EPA, and DPA ratio of 1.5:1, increases plasma and red blood cell levels of these fatty acids. Supplementation with this DHA-enriched oil improves the long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid Omega-6:Omega-3 (n-6:n-3) ratio, which may benefit dogs of all ages. The importance of providing an enriched source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids is emphasized.” (Vet Therapy, 2005, Spring; 6 (1): 29-42).

2.A study, conducted by Abba, Vercelli, and Raviri, with twenty-two different-stage atopic dogs of different breeds and ages were fed an essential fatty acid supplementation (DPA, DHA and EPA). Clinical evaluations of blood serum fatty acids were obtained before and after the study. The result showed that different-stages atopic dogs could have different responses to ‘essential’ fatty acids, with early stage cases showing to be more responsive to ‘essential’ fatty acid supplementation. (Journal of Animal Physiology of Animal Nutrition (Berl). 2005, Apr-Jun; 89 (3-6): 203-7).
